Upcoming: Barolo & Barbaresco vertical tasting, June 14

Once a year we open the rare-wine vault and pour a tasting that we honestly look forward to all season. This year it’s Barolo & Barbaresco — a two-decade vertical, hosted by Advanced Sommelier and co-owner Mike Guerra.

The lineup

  • Two flights of four wines each — Barolo on one side, Barbaresco on the other
  • Four legendary producers represented, including a bottle pulled from a 2003 magnum
  • Paired with a tasting menu of small plates from Joe’s kitchen — beef tartare, agnolotti del plin, brasato al Barolo

Where: Enoteca La Storia, Los Gatos
Cost: $145 / $115 for Wine Club members
